{July Team} They Taught Me How to Pray

Wow, what a team! This past week Abaana’s Hope was honored to host a team full of ladies from Myron West’s home church. They came ready to serve in any way possible, but their main focus was the children. God tells us in Proverbs 22:6 to direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it. At Abaana’s Hope we are trying to teach the children the ways of the Lord, and this team helped us organize our first Children’s Conference at Abaana’s Hope.

Jesus Loves Me

Playing at the Women's Refuge

Since the beginning of July Hannah, the Abaana’s Hope Intern, and I have been spending time every Thursday at the Women’s Refuge Center playing and teaching the three small children {who are to young to go to school} the song “Jesus Loves Me.” What a joy it has been to color, laugh and hear them catching on to different parts of the song each week. Hannah’s time is slowly wrapping up, but I know for sure these children will always remember that Jesus loves them .

It is one of those sleepless nights in Uganda where the fan cannot touch the heat or drown out the noise from parties. I have unfortunately become accustom to seeing 1 a.m. We are dreadful friends to say the least.
