Since the beginning of July Hannah, the Abaana’s Hope Intern, and I have been spending time every Thursday at the Women’s Refuge Center playing and teaching the three small children {who are to young to go to school} the song “Jesus Loves Me.” What a joy it has been to color, laugh and hear them catching on to different parts of the song each week. Hannah’s time is slowly wrapping up, but I know for sure these children will always remember that Jesus loves them .
This is Not My Home
It is one of those sleepless nights in Uganda where the fan cannot touch the heat or drown out the noise from parties. I have unfortunately become accustom to seeing 1 a.m. We are dreadful friends to say the least.
Photo-Shoot Fun
This morning I had a blast with the Life Bead Ladies and the Abaana’s Hope Intern, Hannah. It just so happens that Hannah is an extremely talented photographer. Check out her work for yourself, it is amazing {Hannah’s Blog }.
Lead us Not into {the American} Temptation

Temptation. The American Dream. The two car garage, with two cars actually inside, a fancy house with everything inside we could ever need to clutter the heck out of every nook and craning in the dream house; that we do not actually own because we are up to our ears in dept trying to keep up with the “Jones”.
Temptation. The innate ability inside all of us to hoard way more than our daily bread like we are the Israelite’s hoarding manna in the wilderness.
Temptation. The ability to idolize material possessions or any spiritual blessings.
